Two people remained unaccounted for. A police spokesman said he understood they were the proprietors of the gutted Seascape guest house where the gunman was arrested this morning. Two of the gunshot victims were confirmed as Malaysians. Police said the man they had arrested was 28 years old, not 29 as they previously reported. No charges had yet been laid. Police spokesman Luppo Prinz said the man was still being treated for burns to the back and buttocks and would be detained in Royal Hobart Hospital. "He is currently in hospital and will be detained there for some time. His condition is satisfactory." "We can't be sure that people were actually taken hostage - that's our understanding," Commissioner Prinz said. "A body has been found in the rubble of the guesthouse that burnt down and we are trying to identify that body at the moment. "We have two people missing, unaccounted for. We can't say unequivocally that there were three hostages taken. He said he understood that two of the people who are missing were the owners of the guesthouse."
